Tried and tested

Recently, we had an amazing online project at the Lely Lyceum! That school is truly awesome. Our online History Alive and Understanding Shakespeare workshops went live and over the course of three days the classes had the chance to create, rehearse together in break-out rooms and perform their own creative creations. They also found time to be silly and play around with the English language in a fun and creative way.

Don't take our word for it. Their teacher's feedback says it all:
"thank you again. It was a great pleasure and very important for our pupils to work on these beautiful workshops, especially in these unusual times. Your actors had a good connection with our kids and they managed to inspire them and work with them very well! Tell them as well from us: Thank you!! So thanks again and hopefully we will see each other soon in real life."

Get in touch with us and let's start organizing your school's workshops! There is still time to have some online fun before the 1st of June.

Online Understanding Shakespeare Workshop

STET Education is proud to work with Alex Baggett (a young actor from Colorado, USA), who is passionate about making Shakespeare understandable, accessible and therefore fun for everyone! He works with students to “demystify” the language of Shakespeare and shows why so many actors love performing Shakespeare to this day. Alex will create a safe, encouraging online environment where students will feel supported enough to step outside of their comfort zones.

Full-day Online Theatre Workshop

Let your students experience being part of a theatre company without leaving their homes! Using Zoom, your students will develop key scenes of a text into their own creative performances - furthering their understanding and engagement with the characters and story. Plays are meant to be performed and enjoyed, but in the current circumstances students may feel like they are missing out on the fun. Luckily, we can help! Guided by a professional actor with years of experience in translating text into performance, students gain a wider perspective of a play than can be found solely in the classroom.

Online History Alive Workshop

Rebecca Poole (a professional British actor), has devised a workshop which gives students the opportunity to bring their imagination to a selection of historical pictures, unlocking the potential of the image and creating story and characters. Using them as a stimulus and creating a new scenario through a variety of theatre games and techniques, they will watch their imagination come to life!

WE NEED YOUR HELP! IF YOU WANT STET TO STAY... sign the petition! We got the devastating news that the advisory committee to the Municipality of The Hague does not think STET is needed anymore in The Hague after January 2021. If you think otherwise and do enjoy STET's performances and would like it to stay, SIGN THE PETITION & share, share, share so that we create a movement to keep STET alive and kicking!
