Open-Air Shakespeare Workshop (16+)

In the gardens of
Raadhuis De Paauw, Wassenaar

Friday 10 September 11:00 - 14:00

Dear Teachers,

A marvellous day of Shakespeare outside for you and your students! We welcome you to reserve now and secure a place for your group. Start the school year well-prepared with this organized workshop.

In its fifth season, this year’s workshop is based around the performance of Much Ado About Nothing by Illyria theatre company from Britain.

Students participate in educational and interactive theatre activities with company actors, moderated by actor Alex Baggett. This year’s theme is ‘antithesis’. By exploring the use of contradictory phrases and ideas in Shakespeare, students learn how drama is created in his plays. Schools from all around the region participate. It is a highlight for STET Education and our audiences.

We look forward to sharing this day of English theatre with you.

Illyria actors delight audiences with fast costume changes. Students will try this and have a lot of fun doing so as they learn essential scene production skills.

That unpredictable bug!

Of course, we are aware of corona concerns you may have. The thought of groups coming together may seem daunting, yet we assure you that all safety precautions will be taken. Being outside we can take advantage of the large space.

We wish to reserve the right to change plans for this event in case of constraints outside of our control surrounding Brexit visa laws or RIVM corona rules.
