Tea with the Queens

Stay tuned for a fun-filled month of June events as we share the late David Bierk's “Portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II” for the first time in its new home at the AGP. The Art Gallery of Peterborough acquired the painting for the Permanent Collection earlier this year. This temporary exhibition will host a series of related special events. More to come on this exciting exhibition soon, including ticket information!

PROGRAMMING | Camps & Activities
Summer Art Camp

We offer weekly afternoon camps that explore a variety of media and techniques, from painting and drawing to sculpture and stop-motion animation, and everything in between. Most of our camps have filled up! But there is still room for registration in the following Summer Art Camps:

Printmaking (August 8-11) – Register for “Printmaking”
Afternoons, Tuesday to Friday – 1 to 4pm
Suitable for ages 8 to 12

Stop-motion Animation (August 21-25) – Register for “Stop-motion Animation”

Afternoons, Monday to Friday – 1 to 4pm
Suitable for ages 8 to 12

Saturday Art Club

Saturday Art Club returns! Join us each month for this exploration-based studio program. Our instructors will lead activities designed to support and develop your child’s artistic interests and talents, while taking inspiration from our current exhibitions.

Saturday Afternoons, 1 – 4 pm
Suitable for Ages 7 to 12

Volunteer with our Summer Art Camp!

If you are looking to try working in education and the arts, then become a Youth Volunteer in our Summer Art Camps! You’ll gain leadership experience in a creative and fun environment, make new friends and some art, too, Most importantly, you’ll be supporting the arts and arts education in our community.

We are currently accepting applications for July and August camps: check out our website for more information on all current volunteer opportunities and how to apply.

It's All About ART Fundraising Auction

SAVE THE DATE: We are pleased to announce that It’s All About ART will be returning to an in-person event! After three years of successfully hosting the Art Gallery of Peterborough’s fundraising art auction online, this year we’ll be gathering in-person at The Venue, 286 George St. N., on October 28, 2023.

Wednesday to Sunday, 11 am - 5 pm.


Holiday Hours (Victoria Day Long Weekend)

Friday, May 19: 11 am - 5 pm
Saturday, May 20: 11 am - 5 pm
Sunday, May 21: 11 am - 5 pm
Monday, May 22: CLOSED

Admission is free, but donations in support of AGP Programs are always appreciated. 
Support the Art Gallery of Peterborough by purchasing a membership! Your membership helps keeps our admission free and our programs affordable, ensuring everyone in our community has access to art. Members enjoy specialized perks at all levels, including discounts on programs.
