Since its foundation, respecting a professional framework and being in accordance with the legal regulations is a priority for Step in Live, who wants to recognize its workers in their rights and their duties. In this regard, Step in Live joined the Parity Commission 304 (performing arts) and has committed to fully comply with all the obligations.
Being part of a parity commission is not only an administrative act; for us, it is rather a matter of respecting the social values linked to our activity sector, where the intermittence is the rule. The price of the social engagement is therefore a societal choice, we have chosen to take care of the human values and person interest rather than offer to the highest bidder without due consideration of the well-being of workers.

The third edition of the D6Bels Music Awards took place at the Médiacité de Liège and Step in Live was once again in charge of the tray changes for the RTBF TV channel. A real live challenge to make sure all artists can perform at their best.
 We also coordinated the tray changes of another TV show: Viva for Life. To make it happen, we worked very hard together with the RTBF during 7 days. This edition was held on Grand-Place de Nivelles where the work of our stage manager was a bit hampered by poor weather conditions!

The Belgian band Oscar and the Wolf was in Brussels last December 17. And many fans showed up at Palais 12 to have the chance to listen to their idols ! The organizer, ING Smart Banking, put every effort to welcome all of them properly and chose us to produce the event. 50 members of our crew were therefore on hand to ensure the realization and the smooth running of the live!

The fantastic spectacle Disney in Concert / Magical Music from the Movies took place for the very first time in Belgium and Step in Live was of course there to help ! During two special evenings, 80 musicians and 4 soloists took through Disney universe all generations.

Trade show and corporate events

Step in Live is more and more present on private events. In January, we were in charge of the technical and logistical coordination of an incredible wedding ! Amongst others, we took care of the sound system, the light, the video and the implementation of infrastructures.

Trade shows and corporate events no longer hold any secrets for us ! Last month, some of our site coordinators worked for the Salon des Vacances at Brussels Expo.

We are very happy to introduce Charlotte who joined our team for the job of Administrator and Communication Manager.
She replaces Cordula to whom we wish the best in her future endeavours.

"I needed some time to prove that, despite my small size, I'm a real determined and dynamic person! I love working on tray changes or stage coordination, because it moves all the time...
I've learned so much from my colleagues from Step in. Challenge myself and hold the distance allow me to gain valuable experience and that made me grow a lot, on both a personal and a professional level. It was the kind of job I really wanted (...) Now, it's been some years I can say that's my job, my jobs, because since I started I've challenged myself between the scaff, the rigging, the régie, etc. And when I look back on the last years I have to say I'm proud of what I've accomplished so far."

Fabrice, 38 ans, Bruxelles:
"There is no monotony in this sector, even if we work quite often in the same rooms (...) I also have different roles, functions, I work as stage manager, site coordinator, crew chief, forklift, stage hand, etc.
For me, Step in Live, it's above all a wonderful adventure, the people I already knew them and we started this adventure all together, being present from the beginning, it's something that means a lot to me. The values behind the project make also a lot of sense, we work for that everyday. Defend the rights of the workers, it's something really important."

Bright Festival
The Bright Brussels Festival of Light will light up your nights from February 22 to 25 ! This free-of-charge festival, organized by visit.brussels on the initiative of the Government of the Brussels-Capital Region, is now a must-see event for residents and visitors. Since a few days, 75 members of our crew have started working on the implementation of a dozen light installations through the historical heart of the city. Our assistant site coordinators, cherry pickers, stage hands en technicians will make you dream!
