Weekly Update of articles on 2PAXfly

Sorry to those who received an earlier version of this Newsletter where the RSS links were not working Status Credits

The recent double status credits promotion by Qantas, made me think about how much it costs to acquire a status credit point, and hence how much does it cost to earn silver, gold or platinum status - so I wrote an article about it. I'll try to follow up with something similar about Virgin Australia later in the month.  You can also read about my planned status credits run between Brisbane and Christchurch New Zealand.

Trip Reports

I've also been catching up on some trip reports, including my first flight on Emirates in business between Sydney and Bangkok, an overnight stay at the Novotel Suvarnabhumi

Jet Lag Myths - what works

Jet Lag is a perennial subject for travel writers, and I reckon most of the advice they write is pure rubbish. So if you want to know what I think about Jet Leg, then try this little gem.

Hotel Review

On the hotel front, read the review of the Mayfair Hotel, Adelaide. I'm going to follow that up with a review of a later stay, and some reviews of other Adelaide Hotels.

Get onto it now! You only have 5 days through until August 14 to Register and book

Coming up Next Week

More on the Myanmar Trip report - featuring a review of the Strand Hotel in Yangon and the introduction to my next trip to New Caledonia

The Myth of beating Jet Lag

By 2paxfly on Sep 08, 2018 08:30 am

Mayfair Hotel Adelaide – what you can do with an old insurance building

By 2paxfly on Sep 07, 2018 08:30 am

This is a good, beautifully designed hotel, that could be great. It has some rookie usability design faults. It's not cheap - sitting at the high end of room rates in this city. My equal first preference when staying in Adelaide.

By 2paxfly on Sep 06, 2018 06:25 pm
