As we prepare to greet the summer, we congratulate and bid adieu to Gloucester Biotechnology Academy’s recently-graduated Class of 2019. The newly-minted alumni are taking on full time jobs as life sciences lab technicians, having their lab internships extended, or they are headed to college to pursue degrees in the sciences. They proved themselves to be extremely motivated, bright and responsible – they have raised the bar for September’s incoming class of 2020. GMGI remains focused on helping to catalyze the local economy by bringing science to Gloucester in a meaningful way. With a gating objective to create conditions that encourage the development of a science community here on Cape Ann, the talented life sciences workforce that is coming out of Gloucester Biotechnology Academy is becoming well known throughout the industry and among science start-ups that might consider locating here.
