Welcome to March's edition of Love Letter. .
As I was preparing for March by listening to my monthly horoscope, the guidance that I was once again receiving was “this is the time for writing”. My reaction was - WHAT! Are you kidding me? I told myself that if I was receiving the energetic support from my guides and the universe then surely the words would flow with ease. Not so much.
Please give me a sign. Guide me to write. “Strip it down.” I decided to go away for a couple days down south to our family ranch. The timing was great. I was looking forward to getting away from all of the static noise. I packed up, headed south and it was magical. Again, not so much. “Strip it down.” The ranch is very magical but the words did not appear by magic or any method for that matter. The weekend started with five hours of grooming the overgrowth of hair on my mini Australian Shepherd. It included me baking an amazing batch of cashew chocolate chip cookies. Not so much in the writing department. I did enjoy myself. The ranch is very relaxing but I didn't feel like there was a sign. I looked for any creatures that were coming around, dreams that I might be having, but there was nothing, I felt blank and empty. “Strip it down”. It wasn’t until the ride home that I recognized I was so caught up in the message around writing. I was waiting for my guides to put a flashing neon sign in front of me with the words or send me that inspirational spirit text. In other words a dream. “Strip it down.” All the pressure surrounding this exception allowed my ego to block the neon sign.
How to pay attention to the signs
A love letter is taking the time to share your feelings and your reflections with the people you are invested in. So while this is not a love letter in the traditional sense this is a letter that emphasizes the relevance of the messages.
So here is my love letter to you. I hope this letter provokes thought and a desire to be part of the conversation.
It simply does not work that way. Our guides don’t just provide physical signs. Or do they? When I shut down the ego that created the block I knew that I wanted to talk about how to connect with our guides, our higher self, and how to pay attention to the messages we receive.
This is where my March Love Letter begins.
A few days after arriving home and during a client coaching session, I heard myself say “strip it down”. This was something that I had been hearing for a couple weeks now but just not paying attention. As the words were coming out of my mouth, I heard “are you listening to yourself?” BAM! Neon sign! I wasn't sure what I was going to do with “strip it down” but I knew this was my sign. For those of you that are familiar with country music, you know that “Strip it Down” is a very sexy song by Luke Bryan and this was all I kept thinking of when I heard the words. I have heard this song many times but I hadn’t really listened. So I went to YouTube and I played the video and really listened. I will admit that I had to listen several times. Not only does this song have the message of getting back to the basics, it is so darn SEXY...I kept getting lost in the moment of the song...cheeky smile.
What does this mean?
So I sat down and thought about “strip it down.” For me it means getting back to the basics. Rewinding, going backwards, removing all of the distractions to be vulnerable, authentic. To find that space to know, love and trust yourself. Connect with your inner self. “Strip it down”
Where do the signs come from?
The card for this month is passion. Are you struggling to find your passion? “Strip it down”. Maybe you are looking for the next romantic relationship, trying to figure out your finances, that job, or how to spice up your life. Take time to “strip it down.” The guidance on the cards is “passion is the inner flame that will keep you striving towards your vision.”
Don't disregard the messages.
Often it is hard to see or hear the signs that our guides provide when we allow our ego to lead us from a constant state of anxiety, worry, and fear. Take a step back. Create a special bond with your guides. Learning how to hear and trust the information is essential to building a healthy relationship between your inner self and your guides. This can be achieved thru daily meditation, using oracle cards, or listening to a trusted spiritual adviser.
As you start to pay attention to songs, colors or nature, you realize that the message comes from when and where you hear that song or see the color. Or maybe it is about an animal that appears in an unusual location. For example, one evening a deer was sleeping on my neighbor's front porch. This was not a normal sighting. We do not live in a neighborhood with deer. Take time to recognize the sign. There are plenty of resources to look up the meanings and interpret the message for you.
Our guides are all around. They are eager to provide assistance. They want to be part of our lives. Recognizing this connection offers direction and purpose which opens up a new understanding and eliminates us blindly moving thru life. This guidance is provided to you personally and offers information on how to navigate and heal the limiting beliefs that continue to create emotional and personal obstacles. “Strip it down” to see where ego makes it so difficult to recognize the glaring neon sign. The relationship between your inner self and your guides enhances the ability to know when to trust is your intuition, showing you that you can live a guided life on a daily basis.
Learn how to remove the fear of being caught off guard, join me in learning how to receive and interpret messages from your guides. Please join me in April. I am offering a class “How to Connect with Your Guides”. See my calendar for dates and times on meetup.com or RSVP today!
