Here’s your weekly dose of FIVER FRIDAY, a list of what I've found useful or informational this week concerning education.
Notes I'm taking--
I finished reading Rules for a Knight (mentioned last week), and I've composed my highlights from the book in Evernote, which you can view here. I really, really liked this book. It's short and packed with prudent advice. I use a program called Bookcision to capture my Kindle highlights, and then I use Evernote to store them. I've found this process helpful--feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
New in the district--
Recently PBVUSD began using Clever to integrate student and teacher accounts with various educational applications--MobyMax being one of them. I created a THREE MINUTE THRILLER about Clever's usefulness, which you can watch here.
What I'm reading--
I just finished a Point Loma class this week in which I read the book On Becoming a Leader by Warren Bennis. The book is excellent in its entirety, and I highly recommend it if you're a fan of John Wooden-style leadership books.
What I'm listening to--
Volume 1 and Volume 2 of the Stranger Things soundtrack were recently released by Netflix, and they've been great to listen to on Apple Music as I answer the barrage of email messages I've been receiving. For me, music without lyrics is a necessity when typing.
Quote I'm pondering--
"Rule your mind or it will rule you." --Horace
