Hi All!

Here’s your weekly dose of FIVER FRIDAY, a list of what I've found useful or informational this week concerning education.

Interesting Blog--

Do you like to incorporate art into your classroom? Take a look at this analysis of every single Olympics logo. Which is your favorite? Mine is Tokyo – Summer Olympics 1964.

Podcast I'm listening to--

Tim Ferriss's podcast is fantastic, and recently he had Seth Godin as a guest. You can listen to Godin's insightful thoughts about education here.

Free book you can read--
Speaking of Seth Godin, I highly recommend reading his free book Stop Stealing Dreams. It's about education, and his analysis of the public school system as a remnant of industrialization is worth taking a look at.

What I'm watching--
I can't think of a better show on TV right now than The Night Of on HBO. Yes, Stranger Things is super fun, but The Night Of delivers an unflinching look at the criminal justice system. Here's one of the reasons I'm in education: I want to help develop young minds who can make our criminal justice system better.

Quote I'm pondering--

“Anything you build on a large scale or with intense passion invites chaos." - Francis Ford Coppola
