Leave.EU thanks U.S. firm for crucial role in referendum

London -- The Leave.EU team thanks Goddard Gunster Public Affairs for its crucial strategic role of the Leave.EU campaign.

Goddard Gunster is an international issue advocacy company with headquarters in Washington D.C.
According to Arron Banks, Leave.EU co-chairman, Goddard Gunster contributed significantly on a number of fronts:  “They made our social media effort a massive success; providing a platform far bigger than the ones built up by either the Remain campaign or the official Vote Leave group. We ended up with almost 100,000 followers on Twitter and 800,000 supporters on Facebook, where our weekly post reach often exceeded 20 million people,” he said.
“We were able to achieve this by having a strong focus on audience engagement, with a broad range of content designed to appeal to different types of voters.
“Content included eye-catching graphics, topical articles, interview clips from the broadcast media and slickly edited videos.  With our press team monitoring the news cycle around the clock to gauge public reaction and identify trends, we were able to update this material in real-time and improve its appeal, driving engagement further, building crowds and enabling large-scale support.

“The end result,” according to Banks, “was not just a fantastic tool for direct outreach, bypassing the broadcast and print media entirely, but an extremely useful database that Goddard Gunster was able to mine, allowing it to conduct in-depth demographic polling and recommend precision target-messaging.

“Our ground campaign could be focused on those areas where the Leave movement had to make its greatest inroads to tip Brexit over the line. For example, we were able to direct or redirect our nationwide battle bus tour to those areas identified as holding large numbers of "persuadables" – and those persuadables who were most likely to be receptive to the Leave.EU message as opposed to the rather staid, impersonal messaging of other campaign groups.”
According to Banks, “The results said it all. Leave dominated in predominantly Labour-voting, working class areas, which won the day. Goddard Gunster was not surprised. A 20,000 sample macro poll directed by Goddard Gunster managed a near-exact referendum prediction of 52/48 in favour of Leave, while Establishment pollsters got it wrong yet again.”
