Stop and Search Scrutiny Panel

Wiltshire Police

Wiltshire Police are seeking names and contact details of members of our communities that would be interested in being involved in a voluntary role of stop and search scrutiny of Wiltshire police.  Please see attached Draft Terms of Reference detailing the purpose and role of the Stop and Search Scrutiny Panel.

Sainsbury's Local Food Partner

Sainsbury's Logo
Sainsbury's is continuing to expand their successful Local Food Donation programme across all parts of the UK. Their local food partner charities can collect dry and tinned food donated by customers and/or fresh food donated by Sainsbury’s.

Currently Sainsbury’s Local Food Donation Partners must be registered charities and have appropriate Food Hygiene certification. They must also be able to collect donated food regularly from their partner store.

Zee Tee Campaign

The Swindon Equality Coalition and its members were involved in the delivery of a Zee Tee (Zero Tolerance) Campaign to clamp down on homophobic language.  Read the article by going to the Swindon Advertiser Website.

During Anti-Bullying week 2015 the Swindon Equality Coalition and Out of the Can members took the opportunity to reignite people’s thoughts on the impact of the words they use, as well share information about the Coalitions involvement in local campaigns.

Carols by Candlelight
An old-fashioned twenty-first century evening in the farmyard and the old cowshed, with all the right seasonal ingredients to eat, drink, and sing! A roaring fire to keep us warm, the Swindon Scratch Choir to lift our singing spirits, fire jugglers to juggle fire, and cartloads of carols to sing together.

New Years Day Trail

Vision for Wroughton Logo
A family village trail and quiz. The trail will start at the Ellendune Community Centre and finish at the Brown Jack, taking approximately 45 minutes to complete and is wheelchair and pushchair friendly. Unfortuantely no dogs are allowed on the trail. Tickets are available on the day or in advance from the Parish Office in the Elledune Community Centre.
When: Friday 1st January, 2pm
Where: Ellendune Community Centre, Wroughton
Tickets: £2 per adult (children free)
