Big Potential - Get Ready for Investment


Big Potential, a BIG Lottery Fund grant fund, will deliver approximately £20m of grant funding over 3 years to eligible VCSE organisations with the aim of improving the sustainability, capacity and scale of VCSE organisations. There is still time to book on next week’s event (Tuesday 1st December, 9:30am - 3:30pm) to learn more about social investment and the Lottery fund for organisations to prepare for this new funding route.

Salvation Army Lunch Club


The Salvation Army Lunch Club is for elderly people who wish to spend a time of friendship and fellowship over a two course meal (main and dessert) on Wednesdays at 12 noon, at the Salvation Army Centre in Gorsehill.

The Salvation Army are also looking for a volunteer to help prepare and cook food for elderly individuals that attend the Salvation Army Centre in Gorsehill. This could include preparing vegetables and other food ingredients and ensuring that food is produced on time.

Nexus Project Looking for Volunteers


The Nexus Project is a new Youth Café and Live Music venue in Highworth. Operating during term time Mondays 4-6pm for years 7-8 and Wednesdays 4-6pm for years 9, 10 & 11 in the basement of Puddleducks, High Street, Highworth.
The Nexus Project are looking for Volunteers aged 16 plus who have a passion for supporting local projects and working with young people. No experience required as all training will be provided.

Covenant Fund


The small grants route for up to £20,000 is now open. The funding is to be used for one-off projects which have lasting impact and clear exit or sustainability strategies. Projects must clearly address one of the following MoD priorities for 2015-16, which are: community integration between Armed Forces and civilian communities; the coordination and delivery of support to the Armed Forces community; and former service personnel in the criminal justice system.

The St. James’s Foundation is a Gloucestershire based charitable trust that provides support for registered charities who help young people with special needs or who are disadvantaged or support people with cancer. Grants are given any time for upto £10,000.

Open Door Centre Looking to Recruit Grants Administrator


The Open Door Centre (Swindon & District) Ltd are looking to recruit a part time Grants Administrator to apply for grants and other funding, to support the work of the Centre. You will need to be a proven communicator and administrator, as the role includes maintaining records to ensure the availability of data to support your applications, and networking to discover opportunities for funding. You must also be self-motivated and able to work on your own initiative. The Centre is open every weekday and you will be employed for 8 hours a week at £10 / hour, at mutually convenient times to be agreed. This post is subject to an enhanced disclosure and barring check.
