Letter From Our Chief
New Horizons Chapter,
It was just six months ago that my fellow officers and I were elected at the Fall Reunion to serve you during this 2015-2016 Order of the Arrow term. Though it seems like it was just yesterday that I stood in front of all of you on that sunny September Saturday, it has already been half a year. This first half of the year has been a learning experience for both the officers, chairmen, and I'm sure for many of you who completed your Ordeal or Brotherhood in the Fall. But I am sure that many of you are asking, "where do I go next?"
While the trail guide once guided you in your journey to become an Arrowman, now it may seem like your path is unclear in this Order. The truth is that the path is in front of you, but you must choose to take it. So how do you take that first step? Go to the Arrowman Experience on March 5. Go to one of our Elangomat Training Seminars on March 12 or March 19. Go to our Service Project on March 19. Go to our Troop Rep Seminar on March 28. GO TO THE SPRING CONCLAVE ON APRIL 1-3.
Of all of these opportunities in the next month, you only have to sign up for the Arrowman Experience and for the Spring Conclave. For the rest of them, you can just show up. Don't hesitate to come to any or all of them. If you are new and have no idea what something is about, come out for it! I assure you that the officers and chairmen will do their best to make you feel welcome and a part of this Order. All we need is for you to take the first step. Hopefully I will see you in the next month!
