CSIO Announces Curling Included in OHPSI

The Ontario Curling Council is proud to share that Curling is one of 25 sports to be included in the Canada Sport Institute Ontario (CSIO) Ontario High Performance Sports Initiative (OHPSI) program through to 2023.  The Ontario Curling Council values this partnership and is extremely thankful for the benefits that his has provided to our High Performance athletes in the past.  Extending this program to 2023 will go a long way towards further development of our HP athletes across the province.  For the full announcement click HERE

 


Fall Education Calendar

The Ontario Curling Council is working on our fall education calendar and are looking for willing hosts for Education events such as Club Coach, Club Coach Youth, Competition Coach, Adult Learn to Curl and Ice Tech education.  For more information please visit our site and consider hosting!

Safe Sport

In an effort to provide the safest and most inclusive sporting environment possible, the Ontario Curling Council is rolling out our Safe Sport program for this coming season.  Individuals working with athletes will be required to have Safe Sport training and complete an attestation.  Details on how this will be delivered will be coming soon so please check out our website and social media for information as it becomes available.

Save the date!  The OCC is happy to announce that the 2021 Cathy Kerr International Wheelchair Bonspiel will be held at the RA Centre in Ottawa,  November 26 - 28, 2021.  Registration details are coming soon so keep an eye on our social media and website for details!

Ontario Trillium Foundation - Supporting Recovery

The Government of Ontario’s Community Building Fund is investing $105 million to support community arts and culture, heritage, tourism, sport and recreation organizations, that are experiencing significant financial pressures due to the pandemic. These organizations support community engagement, tourism and recreation through a variety of attractions, experiences, programs, events and activities. The Community Building Fund is offering two streams – Operating and Capital. Learn more about the Community Building Fund

If your organization and grant request are not eligible for funding through the Community Building Fund - Operating stream, we encourage you to explore additional funding opportunities offered by the Ministry of Heritage, Sport, Tourism and Culture Industries and Grants Ontario.

 


National Sport Trust Fund

The Ontario Curling Council and its members Curl ON (Ontario Curling Association) and the Northern Ontario Curling Association (NOCA) endorse the use of the National Sport Trust Fund – Ontario as a revenue generating program for member clubs for which a charitable tax receipt can be provided for qualifying donations.
