Merry Christmas from LiU Game Jam and LiTHe Kod!

Jesper on behalf of the LiU Game Jam organizer group here. We hope that you are having a wonderfully safe Christmas and that you find lots of hardware and software underneath the (binary-)tree.

The next event we will arrange is a site for Global Game Jam. Global Game Jam is the worlds largest game jam event and during those days jammers from all across the world create games from the same secret theme. We all look forward to when we can sit together and jam at the same physical location but that time is not here yet... Due to current Corona situation it will be arranged remotely via LiU Game Jam's Discord.

To make the online event more comfy we will re-introduce the half time review on Saturdays (Chinese buffet food order is your own responsibility). If you have any other suggestions on how to make the online jams more comfy and cozy we are keen to hear them. Send us a message on the Discord.

Global Game Jam 2021

29th - 31th January

A game jam is an event where programmers, artists and gamers come together and create games; both computer games and board games. We are going to follow the same structure as our physical jams so please be online in time so you can participate in the theme generation, brainstorming and group forming. Only difference is that the salt sticks and pizza will be provided by yourself.

How to participate

Make sure you have a working microphone as this will make it easier to brainstorm and jam with the other jammers.
Join the LiU Game Jam Discord server.
Create an itch.io account and join the Global Game Jam Linköping 2021 jam page.
Create and Global Game Jam account and join the LiU Game Jam site on Global Game Jam's website.

We want your old jam games!

We have started to collect all games made during our game jams on Itch.io. 36 games is an impressive collection but is only a fraction of all things we have created together.

Hence we encourage you to upload your old game jam projects to itch.io and send us a link to them.
