Jesper on behalf of the LiU Game Jam organizer group here. Now it is just one week left until the first physical game jam in years! Hype!

Another incredibly cool thing is that all of Linköping will be filled with game-related events, because next week is Linköping Game Week!

Also make sure to check out LiU Game Conference which happens the day before the jam. I am sure you will learn a thing or two that will be useful during the jam. Just do not drink too much beer during the afterparty....

Fall Game Jam 2021

A game jam is an event where programmers, artists and gamers come together and create games; both computer games and board games. Join us at the first IRL jam in years!

How to participate

In order to participate in the jam do the following:

Join our Discord to get announcements during the jam: Discord invite
Join the itch.io jam page where you will upload the result: Itch.io jam
(Optional) Join the Facebook event: Facebook event
Show up at the location 18:00 26th November. Bring the equipment you need in order to create games; laptop, or physical game components.

Friday 26th

- Joint pizza order
- Theme generation
- Brainstorming
- Group forming

Saturday 27th

09:00 Spektrum opens
- Breakfast (free)
17:00 Joint Chinese buffet order deadline
Around 19:00 when Chinese food arrives
- Buffet time!
- Half time review

Sunday 28th

09:00 Spektrum opens
- Breakfast (free)
12:00 Joint sushi order deadline
17:00 Game creation deadline
- Resulting games should be uploaded to itch.io
- Jammers should have cleaned their tables
- Final review
- Showcasing and playing each other's games

LiU Game Conference

12:00 – 21:00 25th November
Ebbepark, Linköping

LiU Game Conference is an annual conference about computer games and digital experiences. During an intense afternoon it explores trends in digital entertainment with games industry professionals and studios from all over the world.

It will take place the day before LiU Game Jam in the same building. If you enjoy jamming away you'll love to participate in it as well.

Speakers includes Embark Studios, Resolution Games, Massive Entertainment, Photon, Linköpings university, Beartwigs & Lurkit

Linköping Game Week

22th November - 28th November

Linköping Game Week is one entire week filled with gaming related events which LiU Game Jam is part of. Everything from learning, working and playing is covered.

We have started to collect all games made during our game jams on Itch.io. It is an impressive collection but it is only a fraction of all things we have created together.

Hence we encourage you to upload your old game jam projects to itch.io and send us a link to them. Either via the email button below of ping us on Discord.
