The Tuesday after Labour weekend is a Teacher Only Day. This is for staff in-service training with an outside provider who will be working with the team in furthering developing our working culture as we look ahead.
Term 4 Teacher Only Day: Tuesday 25 October
Term 3      Finishes next Friday 23 September
Term 4      Monday 10 October to Friday 16 December

2017 Term Dates
Term 1: Tuesday 7 February to Thursday 13 April
Term 2: Monday 1 May to Friday 7 July
Term 3: Monday 24 July to Friday 29 September
Term 4: Monday 16 October to Wednesday 20 December
The next Whanau Hui is in Week 1 of Term, Wednesday 12 October, at 5.30pm.
We will discuss Maori representation on our Board of Trustees.

CONGRATULATIONS to our amazing students who took part in the MathsMatters Problem Solving Competition on Tuesday evening.  The results were  -

What fantastic results!  We are very proud of you all!
Today we raised $840 from the Cupcake sale.  Thanks to the Mahi Tahi (Rooms 19 & 20) children for organising this and all the Mahi Tahi parents who made such divine cupcakes.  Also thanks to everyone who supported us by buying a cupcake.
Cousins, Luella & Victoria took part in the Hospice Creative Catwalk last Thursday.  They made their entire costumes from recycled materials.  
They look great girls!
Touch Rugby is starting next term.
If your Mum or Dad can be a coach then they will be able to choose their own players so long as the players are the correct age.  Teams can have up to 10 players.  So, find yourself a coach and form a team!
Get a Team Registration Form from the Office for your parent to fill in and return it to Mrs Griffin (Room 3/Te Tumu) as soon as possible.

Under 7's
 -  all players must be 7 years old or under.  They can't turn 8 years old between now and the end of the year.
Under 9's  -  all players must be 9 years old or under.  They can't turn 10 years old between now and the end of the year.
Under 11's  -  all players must be 11 years old or under.  They can't turn 12 years old between now and the end of the year.

PLAYER FEE  -  $15 per player  (due Friday 14 October)

Games are played at Hickling Park  (fields next to the Hockey turf)
Under 7's & Under 9's  -  Wednesdays    (12 October to14 December)
Under 11's                    -  Thursdays       (13 October to 15 December)

Hilltop School is holding their Bi-Annual Gala on Friday 11 November, from 5pm - 7pm.  This Gala will have lots of food, a variety of stalls,
rodeo bull rides & china smash.
