We've got a truck coming on Wednesday to take our unwanted furniture to help children in the schools who lost everything in the Fiji cyclone.  We thought it might be a nice idea to add some new packets of pens/pencils/felt tips to this load.  Please drop your donations into the School Office by Wednesday morning (13th).  Please note that we only want new items.

As part of the preparations for the upcoming Board of Trustee Elections we are required to ensure that everyone who is entitled to take part in the election receives, by post nomination forms and voting papers.

We currently have several parents/caregivers who are eligible but we do not have addresses listed for. This Election is your chance to have a say in how our school will be governed over the next three years. If you have changed any details or just wish to check please contact the office to update our records.
Have your personal details changed?

If your phone number or address has changed recently please email the office to update your details by clicking on the button below.

Rooms 3 & 4 have been exploring 'Air Pressure'.  Groups have been investigating bubbles.  Jade and her group wanted to find out if changing the amount of one ingredient would make bubbles last longer.
Room 1 (below) & Room 3 are watching a 3D Movie with their homemade 3D glasses.  They have made these as part of their Science Unit on Light.
If your child is going to be away from school for any reason other than illness, the School Office now requires notification IN WRITING (either email or paper).  This is a requirement for the new Health & Safety Regulations.
Thank you for your co-operation with this.
Children from Room 5 & 6 got to go to the BMX track yesterday to practice their bike skills.
Last Monday Rooms 3 and 4 climbed Mt Tauhara on stunning Autumn day.  If you have never done this track we recommend it to you.  The views are absolutely stunning!
A MESSAGE FROM OUR DENTAL THERAPISTS
The Mobile Dental Unit will be situated at Waipahihi School next term.
Blue Enrolment Forms have been issued to children who are not currently enrolled with Lakes DHB.  If your child brings one of these forms home PLEASE sign it and return it to the School Office as soon as possible.
We will be seeing the classes one at a time.  Please be patient as it is a large roll and all children at school will be checked before we leave Waipahihi.
Thankyou
