Tomorrow it will be packed up and taken to the Salvation Army Op Shop.

If it is fine we will display it tomorrow.  Please come and look before it goes.
This year the children of Central Station (Rooms 1 & 2) have all read novels within their Literacy Circles and listened to selected novels which have been read to the class by Miss B & Miss Morrell.  The children then chose one of these novels, chose a scene from the novel and then recreated the scene through a diorama. Their creative thinking and problem solving skills were very evident and in two days they created these amazing dioramas.  Novels featured in these dioramas were The While Rider, Pax and Indian in the cupboard.
We had a 'Wacky Hair' day last Friday and raised just under $200 for child cancer.  Thankyou for your support.
The children in Rooms 5 & 6 have been problem solving this week
And they've (Rooms 5 & 6) been doing some amazing art work too!
The Middle School has been enjoying their daily swimming at the AC Baths this week.
Recently the Friends of the School Group donated $2000 to the school to purchase a pack of 'Sphero Robotics'. The visual block-based building interface makes learning the basic principles of programming approachable and fun. Below are two pictures from our Middle School of these in action and a reflection from Toby in R17.
"The Sphero is a real game changer in Manu Kotui. We love it! I am excited about learning with the Sphero. It is a great technical piece of learning. I find it challenging because it uses some tough thinking to make it do actions. I am learning how to program it at the moment. Once I have finished learning how to program the Sphero I would like to teach some people, including you. I will need around a week if that is possible. Thanks for buying them. I used to think, ahh it's a school day - now I think, yay its a school day! I want to get there early to get started!"

Thanks - Toby R17 - Manu Kotui
