Room 5 & 6 Camp...

Our first team from the Year 5 & 6 crew, Room 5 & 6, had an awesome few days at camp this week. They climbed a mountain, did some team building activities and experienced life under canvas for a couple of nights! We look forward to hearing more about their adventures - along with the other groups - in next weeks newsletter!

Interschool Athletics Day...

Here is our Waipahihi representative team at Interschool Athletics on Thursday.
Gorgeous morning for biking. Brothers and sisters (Bayley and Ella) joined us today.  Levi brought his new bike along with his Grandad.

Room 7,8,9

Each Wednesday the children from Rooms 7, 8 and 9 complete STEM [Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths] challenges. This week they could choose from making a parachute to save Jack, making a trap to catch the gingerbread man or making a basketball tower.

Room 13,14,15

Rooms 13, 14 and 15 had a day exploring through Science.  We chose to make dancing raisins, build a paper plane, or make a tornado.  The really interesting bit was trying to explain what happened

Lost Property
Please get your child to check our lost property. It's kept in the shelves by Room 5.

We suggest that you name everything as any unnamed items are taken to the Salvation Army Shop every fortnight.

We also suggest you check it regularly as it can often take a few days to get to the main lost property.

HOCKEY

Friday 17th March is the last day to register if your child would like to play Hockey.  Please register along with payment at the office.  Y3/4 Mini Hockey $70 Y5/6 Maxi Hockey $80.00
Every Wednesday we will be biking to School. Meet Mrs Nepia and Mrs Lynch (formally Miss Garrett) at the Silver Fish in town with our convoy leaving at 8am. Children under 6 must have a parent bike with them.

If you want to bike please collect a vest from the office.
The New Entrant Superhero Team biked with Cath from Bike Taupo on Tuesday.  We are lucky to be biking with Cath for the next two Tuesdays.  We know all about safe biking now!
