23 March 2017
This week the last of the senior classrooms attended camp. They have had an awesome experience so a huge thank you to all the teachers, parents and students for making the camp's such a success.
The Life Education mobile classroom is visiting us for a fortnight starting next week. Each class will visit twice with the whole school having a focus on Self-Esteem and building Positive Relationships. Children will be given workbooks at the end of their first session, remember to take this opportunity to talk to your child about what they have learnt from this experience.
A huge thanks to all those students who attended the Starlight Cinema Kids Dash which was part of the 5k Summer Series organised by the Taupo Harriers Club - our school was awarded 3rd place in the school participation, receiving $100.00.
Room 3 & 4 Camp...
Room 3 and 4 went on camp. First we climbed a very tall mountain (Mt Pureora), at the top it was freezing. We had to put on very warm clothes. On Thursday we did activities like archery with Youth Town. Justin got a bulls eye on the first try. It was amazing although we lost arrows but we found them again. At night it was cold, I was shivering. Camp at Pureora was an amazing camp.

New Entrant Trip to the BMX Track
On Tuesday the Rooms 10, 11 and 12 travelled to the BMX track where Cath from Bike Taupo helped them practice their riding and learn how to go over the jumps. Thanks to those parents who helped with transporting bikes and supervision.
These photos were taken yesterday - thanks to all those parents and grandparents that happily join us each week.
Please get your child to check our lost property. It's kept in the shelves by Room 5.
We suggest that you name everything as any unnamed items are taken to the Salvation Army Shop tomorrow.
We also suggest you check it regularly as it can often take a few days to get to the main lost property.
Every Wednesday we will be biking to School. Meet Mrs Nepia and Mrs Lynch (formally Miss Garrett) at the Silver Fish in town with our convoy leaving at 8am. Children under 6 must have a parent bike with them.
If you want to bike please collect a vest from the office.
Issue 2 - Orders tomorrow - FRIDAY 24 March.
We are no longer accepting eftpos payments. Please use cash, cheque or credit card.
