Waipahihi School Newsletter

4 December 2015

Tena koutou katoa
Nga mihi ki a koutou

Welcome to our Newsletter for Week 8!

We have had a few weeks of creation and craft which culminated in our Twilight Gala last night. The children were extremely proud of their efforts and it was wonderful to have such fabulous support from all our parents and the local community. The 'Friends of the School' were very happy with the evenings events. Below are just a couple of photos from the night. Keep your eye out for more in next weeks newsletter.

My apologies for the delay in the newsletter getting out to you. We had a connection error this morning with our 'mailchimp' service and I had waited for a photo or two.

Have a great weekend with friends and whanau!

Nga mihi

On Monday our Enviro Group went over to the bush behind the Richmond Reserve.  They had a blast exploring nature!
Our Enviro Group has done so much wonderful work this year and have been the driving force behind our 'He Manu Whenua' project.  To celebrate a year of great work, we had a picnic under the trees.

Te Ohanga News

The Kiwi & Tui class at Waipahihi School is made up of our newest and youngest children  -  in fact our youngest is five years and four days!  Welcome Brodie.  The children have begun their school journey and it has been very exciting!  They are involved in many activities  -  there is painting, drawing and construction time.  Some children play in the dressup area pretending to be mums and dads or cats and lions.  Others skip and use the hula hoops.  Some children even helped Mrs Llodra move flax bushes and make an outside area to play in.  We all get to write stories and draw pictures.  There is so much going on.  Here are some photos of what we have been up to.  Who do you recognise?
