This is Isla from Te Tumu (Rooms 3 & 4) taking a 'Yoga Workshop' for a small group of her peers.  Students teaching students!
Mahi Tahi (Rooms 19 & 20) visited the Library and Museum on Monday.  The students got to learn about making flax baskets (top picture) then listened to a story about Hatupatu & the Bird Woman from Tracey (bottom picture) from the Library.
We have been talking about healthy food and looking at 'fast food' recipes  -  healthy meals that could be made quickly and independently at home.  Lena, Blaze and Pete had fun making 'Eggs in a Hole'.  They did it with minimum adult intervention, even the clean up!
A group of children from Te Ohanga had a great time at Cobb & Co Restaurant on Tuesday.  They were continuing their research and learning, ready for opening their own restaurant next week.  We were so lucky to each receive a free meal while we were there.  Thanks Cobb & Co ... you rock!
We now have a Friends of the School email address so feel free to email any questions or enquiries about joining us or finding out what we are up to here
