A few action shots from Sunday

Ironkidz was a huge success on Sunday.  It was a fantastic day with children coming from everywhere to compete in an event run by Waipahihi School.  We have a massive amount of volunteers who help out on the day but we also have a group of parents and staff who form the Ironkidz committee.  This special group of people have worked tirelessly behind the scenes for months to ensure this event goes ahead.  Thank you to each and everyone one of you who gave up your time and skills.  We truely appreciate it.
The committee are looking for new members to join this wonderful group of volunteers, if you are interested please speak to Jo in the office.
We have had a positive turn out over the past 2 weeks to these.  It has been a great opportunity for teachers to continue creating partnerships with families and ensuring that we have a shared understanding of your child and their learning.  If you have not yet made a time to meet your child's teacher please do so.

This year classes have created a blog which is linked to your child's seesaw account.  The purpose of the class blog is to use it as a space for whole class sharing.  You can expect to see celebrations, whole class activities and some group work here.  This allows us to refine what goes on each child's profile and will give you are more individualised picture of where you child is at.

On Mondays the Middle School classes have been enjoying athletics workshops with Sammie and John from Youthtown.
On Tuesday morning the New Entrant superheroes were treated to an outing organised by Richmond Community Kindy at the Richmond Reserve.   There were lots of fun activities like tug of war, egg and spoon races and skittles. There was a delicious sausage sizzle and some home baking.  All proceeds made were donated to Plunket. Thanks Richmond Community Kindy we had a blast.
Every Wednesday we will be biking to School. Meet Mrs Nepia and Mrs Lynch (formally Miss Garrett) at the Silver Fish in town with our convoy leaving at 8am. Children under 6 must have a parent bike with them.

Lost Property
is very full.  Please take the time to check or ask your child if they are missing anything.
Parents please make sure your children are aware of the risk of driveways when they scooter or bike past at high speed.  They need to be able to see if a car is coming out of a driveway and stop if needed.
Countdown is continuing to supply free fruit. Each week Lynley collected a tray and distributed throughout the school.
