Dear <<First Name>>,

We at GEN are reaching out to you in this time of uncertainty when all of us are being affected by the Coronavirus – directly or indirectly. Many of us are having to stay at home and face new professional and financial challenges. Those of us living in communities & ecovillages might have the extra security of shared food gardens, mutual care and solidarity. Yet, at the same time, such projects are frequently entwined with visitor streams and are dealing with drastic cuts to their economies.

As a global family we can consciously employ technology to weave community despite the physical distance, so let’s use this extraordinary collective experience to continue building a more alive and resilient Global Ecovillage Network.

We invite you to help us update our database of active ecovillages and eco-projects (https://ecovillage.org/projects/). We see that you haven't updated the information on your profile for a while so we request that you please update your profile by the 10th of May, so we can continue to ensure the ecovillage map is of quality and has relevant information. As we celebrate our 25th anniversary this year, we would love to highlight your project through our social media channels and to make it more visible.

To do so, you can follow these three simple steps:
  1. Log in using your email address as your username at https://ecovillage.org/. It is possible to reset your password in case you forgot it.
  2. Once you have logged in, click on Account on the top of the site and then go into My content in the column on the left-hand side.
  3. Now you can update your profile page - please review the description, community type, contact details, and photos. You can also add events, to bring visibility to your activities, gatherings, and courses; and solutions to the Solutions Library.
Do you no longer live in or are responsible for this project? Please forward this email to the appropriate person and ask them to email update@ecovillage.org so we can transfer the authorship of your project.

Is your project not active anymore? Please let us know so we can archive your page.

Thank you so much for your time, energy and the amazing work you’re doing at this time when alternative solutions and community are so crucial.

In community,

Trudy, Abbie, Kat, Carolin and Lucia
