A slightly shorter version this month, we have been busy with MCA and local coding issues where we are aware of several companies operating without any coding or certification.
It is a slow road to gain action through government and local authority departments.
After the recent trial in Winchester involving the MCA- MAIB and a yacht sinking with loss of life years ago, We have now made a new contact with MCA Education and Enforcement lead. Planned meetings to discuss with this lead are ongoing, they were planned but work got in the way!!!
Safe to say I will be driving this hard so we as members are gaining the support from authorities. Although we failed previously to gain police help in some areas on the South Coast, we have another planned meeting with another police unit who seems very supportive and will hopefully give us direction on what can be done.
John and Jaki Brown have been busy formatting the new Wordpress website and have changed a few things for us, Those applying now will have a simpler process adding all their images and text on their application form.
We now need to ask everyone to go online and check their company entries for accuracy , images, text, phone numbers.
There has been a lot of work to get this live but I am sure we have missed some areas. If you dont have access to members area please ask and we will email you
