Grace to you, and peace...

It's just way too quiet here on Wednesday afternoons once school lets out.

While Wednesday night activities (and Friday Men's Bible Study)  take a break, the rest of church life does not.

On Sunday we'll worship, of course, and in the midst of our worship we'll give thanks for all those who served in the Armed Forces and have joined the Church Eternal. There is a list of names to be read stuck up on the wall in the narthex -- add any names we're missing by 9:15 on Sunday morning.

We've spent the past three Sundays with those surly Corinthians. This week we hear Paul's word to the Philippian church. Spoiler alert: he uses some salty language.

We'll also be presenting Bibles to some soon-to-be third graders -- specifically Maggie Mitchell and Isaac Casey. If you're not traveling for the holiday, please plan to join us as we give glory to God on the beautiful long weekend.

Sunday is also the deadline to let Rick Frennea know you're in for LGBTQ night with the Birmingham Barons on May 31st. Please email Rick if you want tickets.

On Monday afternoon I head out (Birmingham to Atlanta to Dusseldorf!) to visit Amber for a week, with Phillip Steinmetz' wedding on June 1st. I return on June 4th. Please note that I will be pretty unreachable while i'm gone.

With Mike Morgan still at Brookwood, there is further opportunity to help Alice and Sarah Alice by bringing them meals. Mary Erwin has set it all up at https://www.mealtrain.com/trains/9g5kyl -- just follow the directions there.

Summer is quickly upon us, but you can still register kiddos for Camp at Living River. Click here for information and to register.

See you Sunday, folks!

Peace be with you,
Joe
