The City of Vaughan and the Vaughan Business Enterprise Centre (VBEC) Honour Brain Power!
A Brain Power class is filmed for a documentary on Vaughan business success stories!
In September, Brain Power was honoured to be one of the businesses selected by the City of Vaughan and the Vaughan Business Enterprise Centre (VBEC) to be profiled for Vaughan Small Business Week 2017, which is running from October 17 - 19. Brain Power has been noted for being an exemplary organization with a true social mission at its core.
Small Business Week is a national celebration of Canadian entrepreneurs and their contribution to Canada’s economy. The Vaughan event includes The Hon. Maurizio Bevilacqua, Mayor of Vaughan, and Brian Shifman, President and CEO Vaughan CC.
All proceeds from the event are going to RecAssist (a fee-assistance program that subsidizes the cost of recreational programs for low-income individuals and families in Vaughan).
Not only have we been featured in the Fall issue of Vaughan Business Link, but a camera crew filmed some selected classes to feature in a documentary on success stories in Vaughan to premiere during Vaughan Small Business Week!
Our very own Dr. Karine Rashkovsky-Tomas (pictured left with Mayor Bevilacqua) was also selected as one of four honoured entrepreneurial panelists who spoke at the Small Business Week Launch Event at Vaughan City Hall on October 17th!
