NEW WORKSHOPS! Pre-IB and IB Transition Workshops
Admissions and Applications Workshop
In addition to our longstanding Entrance Exam Preparation workshops (Summer and Fall), Brain Power is now also offering workshops for those transitioning into Pre-IB (Grade 9) and IB (Grade 11) programmes, as well as a special Admissions and Applications Workshop (Grades 5-8) for those trying for a Canadian independent school (with or without an exam).
Our Pre-IB and IB Transition Workshops are designed to prepare students for the new demands of IB, as well as to help them understand the formal requirements and evaluation structure of the programme, so they can make a successful transition into either the Pre-IB (Grade 9) or the IB programme (Grade 11) in the fall.
Our Admissions and Applications Workshop (Grades 5-8) is designed to give students the confidence and clarity for successful admission to junior-high and high-school programs (such as University of Toronto Schools, Upper Canada College, Branksome Hall, Royal St. Georges Colleges, Bishop Strachan, and many more). We also help families review and understand ‘fit’ for various schools and programs, as well as build a schedule plan to complete open house visits and applications.
Our students are admitted at five times the average admission entry rate for their program of choice. Join us to take the first step to admission success!

Association for Bright Children Event
We were honoured to host members of the Association for Bright Children at McMaster Innovation Park in Hamilton.
Some of the questions we answered for parents included:
What do bright children need to thrive?
What does enrichment education deliver?
How we can advocate for and ensure bright children receive access to acceleration opportunities they deserve?
While their parents were busy with our faculty, kids were treated to a session on cultural capital - learning more about thinking in a global context!
Thanks to the Association for Bright Children for joining us. We look forward to a continued dialogue about how we can all support future change makers in Canada!

Thoughts on Brain Power: The course material went so far beyond anything we would learn in school and gave us practical knowledge that will aid me in many different aspects of my life. Overall, Brain Power helped me develop a more analytical mindset. I also appreciate what amazing teachers Dr. Karine Rashkovsky and the rest of the Brain Power staff are, and how they are always able to make lessons so interesting and engaging.
