Brain Power Responds to COVID-19
Who jumped into action when schools got shut down?
That's right! Brain Power!

Our Brain Power community of virtual learners are engaged and receiving:

(i) Exciting professional video lessons that they can work through at their own pace

(ii) Professors who are there to provide lots of 1-1 personalized attention

(iii) Exciting worksheets, quizzes, homework, and more to compliment each lesson - all digitized, organized, and easily accessible in our online learning management portal, Canvas

(iv) Interactive online tutorials with their instructors and like-minded peers where they can review each lesson, discuss material, ask questions, and get inspired!

Brain Power is working hard to make sure we can offer SO MUCH MORE than other enrichment programs can offer online!

We're so proud to be supporting families through this difficult time and keeping kids excited about learning, so that our students are able to continue their academic success with us!

Achievements: Dean’s List with Distinction (Top 10% Commerce at Queen’s), Principal’s Scholarship (Queen’s)

Thoughts About Brain Power: Brain Power made up an essential part of my high-school years. Without taking the classes there, I would not have been challenged and exposed to such a wide variety of subjects in literature, psychology, art, and more.

CONTESTS & OPPORTUNITIES
Canadian Young Speakers for Agriculture Inc. (CYSA) delivers an annual, bilingual youth competition at the Royal Agriculture Winter Fair as part of Youth Weekend. This national competition provides youth an opportunity to develop public speaking and communication skills by expressing their opinions and ideas on current topics related to agriculture and agri-food.

The competition includes both junior (11-15) and senior (16-24) categories and is judged by bilingual communications and industry professionals from across the agriculture and agri-food sectors. Cash prizes are awarded to finalists and there is significant opportunity for competitors to enjoy the media spotlight, potential employer exposure, and subsequent speaking engagements.
