Brain Power Alumna Michal Moshkovich
Working on COVID-19 Research at McMaster
Brain Power alumna Michal Moshkovich is currently a second-year student in the Bachelor of Health Sciences (Honours) program at McMaster University, and she has been selected as one of two undergraduate students to be part of McMaster's COVID-19 research program.
Of the work she is participating in, Michal says, "“This study will better define rates of community infection, increase diagnostic accuracy, broaden our understanding of disease transmission risks and potentially offer more economical approaches to COVID-19 testing.”
Brain Power Alumnus Ilia Sucholutsky Featured in MIT Technology Review
Brain Power alumnus Ilia Sucholutsky has been featured with his groundbreaking artificial intelligence work in an article from MIT Technology Review!
The article focuses on a radical new technique that lets AI learn with practically no data, and Ilia is on the frontlines of developing it! Ilia is currently working on his Ph.D in Statistics at the University of Waterloo, and he has already landed some work in Silicon Valley.
Soleil Chi Wins 2020 High Honors Award at Johns Hopkins Center for Talented Youth
Brain Power student Soleil Chi won the 2020 High Honors Award at Johns Hopkins Center for Talented Youth (CTY) program, and her parents say thanks to Brian Power!
For those who are interested in the CTY or other Ivy League youth programs, check out our Ivy League Preparation programs, which train students (one-one or semi-private – your choice) for the Johns Hopkins CTY assessment test (SCAT) and similar Ivy League entrance examinations.
Ana Milu Selected for Soulpepper Curtain Up Program
Brain Power Public Speaking student Ana Milu was selected from many applicants for Toronto's competitive Soulpepper Curtain Up Program. Students ages 14-20 applied (and she's only 14!) to be mentored by Toronto's top performance artists and educators. Ana will be provided mentorship in podcast writing, writing for world-building in an audience's mind, voice coaching, and more!

Brain Power's Cultural Capital Workshop Visited the Canadian Supreme Court!
Brain Power students who participated in our Cultural Capital and World Affairs workshop received a free remote tour of the Supreme Court of Canada!
We do our absolute best to continue to provide awesome opportunities to our students!
The students had such a wonderful time learning about Canada’s court structure and how the Supreme Court got its power and continues to hear appeals.
