As recipients of the TranSpirations E-letter years ago now, and many who have bought the book which emerged, TRANSPIRATIONS—Guidance for the Head & Heart Through Career and Beyond, you know transitions well.
One of my favorite axioms by poet, Jane Hershfield, is "Everything is changing, everything is connected...pay attention." We surely know this to be true in these days of the COVID-19 Pandemic.
Of course this book was not written for the transitions we are all facing with their uncertainties, fears and new ways of living. But I have heard many kind comments about the book from people confronting pandemic related transitions.
If you don’t have the book, it may provide support and guidance for you or someone you know.
Etty Hillesum, who was murdered at Auschwitz at age 29, wrote:
"I am not alone in my tiredness or sickness or fears, but at one with millions of others from many centuries, and it is all part of life."
The Celtic knot found on crosses and gravestones, in manuscripts and on jewelry was apparently the Celts’ artistic way of saying that all things are united, everything has its place, and all is one in God.
I wish you stamina, faith and hope these hard days. I'm always glad to hear from you by email, respond and talk by phone.
