Nation Leader Meeting (NLM)

You’d think we’d be over doing road trips.  But no! We recently drove 844 km’s to Melbourne for the YWAM National Leaders Meeting.  This was not only a good opportunity to meet with our friends in Melbourne but also to meet with other leaders from around Australia.  It’s always great to hear what God is doing and to hear from John Dawson one of our international leaders on how YWAM International is growing and the direction the mission is focusing on for the future.  One of the ministries that was highlighted was a Ships Ministry out of YWAM Townsville.

Australia National Solemn Assembly (ANSA)

Over the last few months the ministry has been different than we expected and we have been taking more of a prayer role in the project with the Aboriginal pastors that we have been working with. Our prayer has been focused on unity of the churches and for the vision the pastors have to bring Aboriginals together.  This has been both challenging and a privilege to stand in the gap as we long to see breakthrough in unity.  Would you consider standing with us in prayer that the right team will come together for the project of Australia National Solemn Assembly? The vision is to bring the 400 Aboriginal nations together in reconciliation to each other, to God and to the rest of Australia. This vision is taken from Joel 1 and 2.

School of Biblical Study (SBS)

I (Sarah) have been getting my feet wet preparing for the SBS that starts in September.  It’s been a time of learning how the YWAM base functions with running their schools in Wollongong.  I also have been leading a Bible study on Nehemiah for the Event Management Ministry team.  Nehemiah is an incredible book with so many principles we can apply in leadership and the ministry.  It’s wonderful preparation for the school.

Visa News

Just to give you a quick update with our visa situation.  We have submitted our applications for a two-year religious worker visa.  We are currently on a bridging visa until we receive the response if we are approved for the visa.  Thank you for your continued prayers for a positive response.
