Shelter-in-Place Training
The Department of Emergency Management has issued a change in the Shelter-in-Place training sessions being offered to the university. Please note the revised schedule is as follows:

The sessions are:
Wed, June 15
2 p.m.–3 p.m. in AD 119 Auditorium (Jupiter)
Wed, June 22

9 a.m.–10 a.m. in Carole and Barry Kaye Performing Arts Auditorium (Boca)
2 p.m.–3 p.m. in Carole and Barry Kaye Performing Arts Auditorium (Boca)

President John Kelly Receives Award of Excellence Richard Gordon
Florida Atlantic University President John Kelly recently received the Gaeta Chairman’s Award of Excellence by the Northern Palm Beach County Chamber of Commerce. The Chamber celebrated its Annual Leadership Awards Dinner at PGA National Resort and Spa. Read More.
Rubin Scholarship Award Winners Announced Richard Gordon
Harriet L. Wilkes Honors College has announced that senior Euda Fils and sophomore Shane Rudeski are the recipients of this year's Rubin Scholarships. The merit-based scholarship requires the acceptance into a significant governmental internship. Fils has accepted an internship with the U.S. Department of Transportation, Maritime Division, Environmental Compliance Office, and Rudeski has accepted an internship with Hon. Jose M. Rodriguez, Circuit Judge, 11th Judicial Circuit, Dade County Courthouse.
Rooney's Golf Foundation, Inc. Donates to the Wilkes Honors College Richard Gordon
For more than 10 years, the Harriet L. Wilkes Honors College has been a beneficiary of Rooney's Golf Foundation, Inc’s annual golf tournament. Their recent spring tournament held on May 5 raised $4,000 for the College. Florida Atlantic University, established in 1961, officially opened its doors in 1964 as the fifth public university in Florida. Today, the University, with an annual economic impact of $6.3 billion, serves more than 30,000 undergraduate and graduate students at sites throughout its six-county service region in southeast Florida. FAU’s John D. MacArthur Campus in Jupiter opened in the fall of 1999.  The campus presently enrolls more than 1,500 students and offers a broad range of upper-division and graduate courses. The campus is home to the Harriet L. Wilkes Honors College, the Lifelong Learning Society, and research facilities of Scripps Florida and the Max Planck Florida Institute.
