FAU Jupiter Welcomes Spring 2017! Richard Gordon
The Division of Student Affairs is excited to welcome new and returning students to the Jupiter campus in the upcoming weeks with Orientation and Weeks of Welcome events occurring Jan 3- 20.

Weeks of Welcome (WOW), hosted by Student Affairs, launches the first two weeks of every fall and spring semester at FAU to encourage new and current students to network and learn more about the many services and programs available to assist in their success and connectivity on-campus. WOW activities are held on all FAU campuses.

Former Boston Police Commissioner to Speak on Campus, Feature Film Depicting His Experience Hits Box Offices this Month Richard Gordon
Jupiter’s Lifelong Learning Society will host a lecture by Former Police Commissioner of the Boston Police Department Ed Davis on February 2. Davis was at the forefront of the emergency response to the 2013 Boston Marathon Bombing and the arrests that followed. His experience during the Boston Marathon bombings will be depicted in the feature film, "Patriots Day," starring John Goodman as Commissioner Davis, opens January 13. This lecture will be a first-hand account of the Boston Marathon Bombings and the manhunt to find the terrorists who planned the attacks. Learn More.
FAU's College of Education Receives $5.6 Million Grant Richard Gordon
The Wallace Foundation has selected Florida Atlantic University as one of seven universities to participate in a national $47-million initiative. The University Principal Preparation Initiative (UPPI) is designed to develop models over the next four years to improve university school principal preparation programs and encourage higher-quality training statewide. An independent study will capture lessons from the participating universities and their partners to be shared with policymakers and practitioners across the country. Read More.
Florida Atlantic University’s John D. MacArthur Campus in Jupiter presently enrolls more than 1,500 students and offers a broad range of upper-division and graduate courses. The campus houses the Harriet L. Wilkes Honors College and the nation’s largest Lifelong Learning Society. Both the FAU Brain Institute and the FAU Center for Molecular Biology and Biotechnology call the MacArthur campus home, providing cutting edge research infrastructure and educational programs that link to other FAU campuses. The Jupiter Life Science Initiative serves to unite scientists and students in campus research and training activities, and helps sustain FAU’s close affiliations with Scripps Florida and the Max Planck Florida Institute, which are also located on the campus.
