Shelter-in-Place Training
All employees in Academic Affairs (faculty and staff) are required to attend one of the following training sessions. Videoconferencing from FAU Jupiter will be made available, so employees will have access to attend the training with the least amount of training time impact on the work day.

FAU Jupiter Life Science Initiative Featured in National Magazine Richard Gordon
FAU’s Jupiter Life Science Initiative was recently featured in Genetic Engineering & Biotechnology News (GEN). The article discusses the innovative collaboration among FAU, Max Planck Florida Institute for Neuroscience and Scripps Florida. It also discusses the development of the Center for Molecular Biology and Biotechnology that serves as a link between FAU and industries in this field. Read the full article.
Honors College Awards $15,000 in Research Scholarships Richard Gordon
Harriet L. Wilkes Honors College awarded nearly $15,000 in scholarships to 10 students in support of their summer research at FAU and Scripps Florida. The summer research scholarship program encourages students to take advantage of the opportunities afforded by the FAU-Scripps-Max Planck Florida life science hub located at FAU’s John D. Honors College Alumnae Pitch at FAU Tech Runway Launch Competition Richard Gordon
Harriet L. Wilkes Honors College alumnae Cristina Rodriguez ’15 and Lauren Koff ’15, pitched their non-profit organization Mind&Melody, Inc. at FAU Tech Runway’s Launch Competition last week and were accepted into Tech Runway’s accelerator program that begins in mid-June. Florida Atlantic University, established in 1961, officially opened its doors in 1964 as the fifth public university in Florida. Today, the University, with an annual economic impact of $6.3 billion, serves more than 30,000 undergraduate and graduate students at sites throughout its six-county service region in southeast Florida. FAU’s John D. MacArthur Campus in Jupiter opened in the fall of 1999.  The campus presently enrolls more than 1,500 students and offers a broad range of upper-division and graduate courses. The campus is home to the Harriet L. Wilkes Honors College, the Lifelong Learning Society, and research facilities of Scripps Florida and the Max Planck Florida Institute.
