Snake Plants

Sansevieria trifasciata ‘Laurentii’ - Try this popular houseplant with thick, succulent leaves, perfect for beginners! This variety has yellow margins which contrast nicely against the green centers. Water only when the soil feels mostly dry in summer, and even more infrequently in the winter. Also look for dwarf and other versions!

Ponytail Palms

Beaucarnea recurvata - This tough and easy plant is not a true palm, but rather a relative to agaves. Their native habitat sees periods of annual drought that can be up to eight months long, so while regular water will keep them looking their best, they are quite tolerant of neglect. Protect from cold, allow soil to dry completely between waterings.

Pothos Ivy

Epipremnum aureum - Classic trailing houseplant has deep green foliage, which develops stronger gold variegation when exposed to more sunlight. Perfect in a bright window or on a shaded patio, but needs protection from cold. Very forgiving, but prettiest when soil is kept lightly moist.
