Vision: Inspiring and uplifting every one of us to transform the world
Volume 18, Issue 2a - February 7, 2018
Reverend Jyoti: From My Heart
February.  I love the focus on LOVE in February.  Our theme for the month is Self-Awareness is Not Enough, reminding us of the importance of putting wings on our faith – shining our light and our love out into our families, workplaces, communities, and the world.  Navel gazing is not enough!  Luckily, we are connected to the infinite source that will flow as much love through us as we will allow. Let’s open our hearts and flood the world!

Happy Valentine's Day

Meditation Class - Lea Alvarado, RScP

The six week class is half over but each class is a standalone class and well worth the effort.  The remaining classes will cover:
     Feb 13 Guided Meditations
     Feb 20 Mindfulness Meditation
     Feb 27 Meditation using Chants/Mantras

Learn a variety of meditation techniques with the purpose of enhancing your prayer and meditation practices and expanding your self-awareness and connection to the Divine. Classes will include a teaching portion and Q&A, followed by 20-30 minutes of meditation to practice techniques learned.
Consider dropping in to one of the meditations classes. They are fun! Here are the attendees from the Jan 30th class. Each class is $16 and is from 6:30 - 8:30 pm.

February Outreach

OUR Center is a non-profit in Longmont that assists individuals and families in need of food, resources and vital life-long skills to enable self-sufficiency.

They are in need of wheeled suitcases so that their clients can carry the food bank items on the bus.  We are also collecting RTD bus passes.

Inspirational Movie Night

has been canceled this month because of an illness outbreak at the Affinity Community. We expect to resume the movie next month.
The Circles® Campaign is a national movement whose primary goal is to bring an end to poverty one family at a time. Circles® is a support-driven system in which volunteer “Allies” help and support “Circles® Leaders” for 18 months to guide them in making decisions that will empower them to succeed in life, and work their way out of poverty. They accomplish this by focusing on doing things “with” not “for” those in need.
Check out their website at or contact Marnita Rodriguez, Program Coordinator at 303-441-1503 to see how you can help!
