No one in the Kansas City area has done more to promote interfaith understanding -- as well as addressing racism, sexism, homophobia, and all forms of prejudice keeping us from seeing one another as sacred children of the universe -- than our friend, Al Brooks.
One of the greatest privileges of my life was to help Al with his powerful and fascinating memoir, and now I get to join with others in sending you this invitation to his 91st birthday celebration.
