Oncopole highlights World Cancer Day
On this World Cancer Day, Oncopole would like to thank all of the players who have joined forces to support oncology research. This past year was especially difficult for all of us as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic that turned our lives upside down. We are now more aware than ever of the importance of supporting science. It is vital to continue research efforts and to make its funding a priority. The oncology sector is being particularly affected by the health crisis, especially with respect to the healthcare system and managing cancer patients.
Under these exceptional circumstances, Oncopole has managed to successfully pursue, in concert with its partners, its mission of supporting research in oncology, to bring together research, innovation and clinical practices for the purpose of safeguarding the interest of patients.

Oncopole, the product of a strategic initiative from the Fonds de recherche du Québec - Santé (FRQS) and Merck Canada, which made an initial contribution of $15M, has now been in operation for 3 years. Thanks to this fruitful public-private partnership, the hub has produced great achievements to make a difference in the fight against cancer.
On the occasion of this symbolic day, the Oncopole team is delighted to share with you, through pictures, some of the promising projects that it is proud to support.
Happy reading and pleasant viewing!
