Who Should Apply? This Miami Regional Course is geared toward faculty and researchers from all Florida universities and colleges as well as startups in the community.
Faculty and scientists looking to apply for SBIR/STTR grants are highly encouraged to apply to the course.
You must be a team of at least 2 (or more) consisting of an Entrepreneurial Lead (can be a faculty member or undergraduate, graduate students or postdoctoral scholars who aim to move the research forward) and a Technical Lead (typically a faculty member or senior research scientist with deep and direct expertise in the core research/technology).
Our participation in the course was tremendously beneficial. As a physician scientist with no prior entrepreneurial experience, the course was an eye-opener. The emphasis on the interviewing process allowed us to determine the magnitude of the need for our delivery system, and who are our true customers.”
