Give My Offering Online

Let us join with you in prayers of concern and joy. We will get it out to our community for prayer. This will strengthen, comfort, and connect us as we write our heart's journeys, read through other's needs, and pray together to our loving and faithful God Almighty. It's our time to rise up and connect through our prayers! What a witness in itself it shall be...

Children & Youth Ministry
Thank you to the congregation, families, Pastor Walter, and Beth Nelson!

When both a family and church crises arose last Sunday morning, Ms. Christy needed to step away to deal with the situations and all of you stepped in with your continuing prayers and support. Thank you to Pastor Walter for leading us in prayer in the moment. The children's families supported Ms. Beth as she took the lead in Sunday School singing faith songs, encouraging their participation in church missions (Food Pantry), and praying with them. Praise God!
We are a Safe Sanctuaries Church with every volunteer and staff member trained and approved. For questions or more information on Safe Sanctuaries or any of these news/events, please email Christy Little at
Saint Andrew's Day School
This week we began exploring the Fruit of the Spirit. Ms. Christy told the Scripture story of the Prodigal Son as 8th-grade students acted it out. They did a wonderful and humorous rendition of it! Ms. Christy shared that Jesus shared this story so we could see what our Heavenly Father's love is like. Love can be hard with difficult people but stopping and praying and asking God to help us see them through His eyes is empowering. The great thing about the Fruit of the Spirit is that we do not have to try harder to grow it. It grows as our relationship with God grows! The 8th-grade students with Ms. Christy led our worship dances with the school's music teacher, Ms. deVries, playing the guitar and singing. Thanking and praising God for this opportunity to reveal Him and His teachings to 207 students and 38 staff/faculty!

8th grade Blue Herons gather and pack bags for Food Pantry. See more articles like this in the school newsletter linked above (click on the blud heron).
Opportunities To Serve, Donate, & Bless

The Food Pantry is looking for a donation of a freezer to keep donated meat/frozen foods to distribute to hungry families. The old commercial freezer is broken beyond repair and has already been removed. Please consider making a monetary donation towards one or if you have one you can donate. Please contact Joanne if you can help.
FOOD PANTRY CHALLENGE We are in desperate need of stocking our Food Pantry shelves for the hungry families depending on us each month. Each week this faith family is challenged to bring in at least one specified item. Please, if you are able, participate and answer the need of His people. THE NEXT SUNDAY (For September 25):

As a mission ministry of Saint Andrew’s, we need people to sign up to distribute the pre-packed food bags. It can be contactless delivery. Instructions detailing the duties will be emailed shortly after sign-up. Come and see those grateful people that we are blessing as we serve God! To sign up, contact Joanne Zenker at

Altar Flowers

They are an expression of our love for God as well as a means of glorifying His name in all the earth (Psalm 9:9). Please consider donating to serve God in this meaningful way. The donation envelopes are located on the hall bulletin board and can be put in the offering plate.

We are rounding everyone up and hoping you will join us to dream and plan how we will fulfill our mission and share in fellowship. Please contact Cheryl Carpenter if you are interested.

On September 11, 18, and 25, from 8:45AM-9:45AM we will watch a video in the Church Parlor explaining a Unified Board model. At the end of each session, there will be time for questions and discussion. We encourage everyone to come and learn more about this new leadership model and ask questions for further understanding. There will be a church-wide vote in the fall to approve/disapprove this new leadership structure.
Church leaders and those exploring this opportunity are reading this book as we look at field-tested steps to simplify our church structure, practice accountable leadership, and unleash more people into ministry.

You can sign up to have the church order you a book if you are interested or you can purchase the book from vendors such as Amazon ($24.99).
We are in a new season at Saint Andrew’s UMC, and we need everyone to contribute in the way God is calling us. Some are called to leadership, some to teach, some to work, some to coordinate, and many other relevant ways. It is our blessing to use the gifts God has given us to serve Him and minister to others. Please prayerfully consider stepping up and out for God’s glory and the blessing of Saint Andrew’s UMC. We need you!
