Our Affirmation of Welcome
Everyone is welcome at Saint Andrew's United Methodist Church. We seek to live our motto: "Open Hearts, Open Minds, Open Doors." We gather as the people of God with all our diversity, which we value, welcome, and celebrate as gifts of God. We believe all people are of sacred worth without regard to gender, race, sexual orientation, economic or family status, religion, ethnicity, or mental or physical abilities. We believe God loves everyone unconditionally.

Let us join with you in prayers of concern and joy. We will get it out to our community for prayer. This will strengthen, comfort, and connect us as we write our heart's journeys, read through other's needs, and pray together to our loving and faithful God Almighty. It's our time to rise up and connect through our prayers! What a witness in itself it shall be...
Send My Prayer Concern or Joy!
Children & Youth Ministry

Today we were all about prayer! First, we prayed through what we might face in a typical day with waking up and going to sleep, disagreeing with others, facing challenges, and seeing someone we care about hurt/ill. With each situation, we said a prayer and then dropped a "prayer" tablet in the colored "living water." The living water bubbled up and sometimes, overflowed. This is how we picture Jesus - filled with excitement and joy when we take the time to listen and talk with Him. Blessings overflow when we do this! Each of the colors represented a different type of prayer we offer. The green water represented our "thankful" prayers, the white water represented our "sorry" prayers, the yellow water represented our "needs" prayers, the red water represented our "healing" prayers, and the blue water represented our "praise" prayers.

After our practice day, we looked at the prayer Jesus taught His disciples. We looked at the meaning of each verse of the Lord's Prayer. Then we learned the sign language and practiced it with the song. This will help His prayer to be deeply embedded in our hearts.
We are a Safe Sanctuaries Church with every volunteer and staff member trained and approved. For questions or more information on Safe Sanctuaries or any of these news/events, please email Christy Little at

We are in a new season at Saint Andrew’s UMC and we need everyone to contribute in the way God is calling us. Some are called to leadership, some to teach, some to work, some to coordinate, and many other relevant ways. It is our blessing to use the gifts God has given us to serve Him and minister to others. Please prayerfully consider stepping up and out for God’s glory and the blessing of Saint Andrew’s UMC. We need you!

Church leaders and those exploring this opportunity are reading this book as we look at field-tested steps to simplify our church structure, practice accountable leadership, and unleash more people into ministry.

You can sign up to have the church order you a book if you are interested or you can purchase the book from vendors such as Amazon ($24.99).

We are asking our ministry leaders to sign up their ministry teams to serve twice a year (or more) in passing out the food to our clients. It is a contactless delivery. Instructions detailing the duties will be emailed to all ministry leaders. We encourage our ministry leaders to tap team members to serve in this rewarding ministry!
