ITALIAN SOCIETY OF SURGERY CALL for Proposal for papers
The Italian Society of Surgery promotes, on the occasion of the next national Congress in Rome, the submission of abstracts possibly leading to the editing of a scientific paper.
Two main sessions will be thoroughly dedicated to presentation of the outlines of the papers that will be eventually published, after the Editorial Board review, in a dedicated issue of UPDATES in Surgery (I.F. 2797) to be released for the National Congress in Pisa 2023.
Main aim of this initiative is to encourage the scientific contributions from the Italian Clinical Units favoring education in Medical Writing particularly of young surgeons, in accordance with the second Course in Medical Writing to be held by SIC between June and October 2022. The program of the course will be soon released.
One of these two sessions will be thoroughly reserved to abstracts submitted by junior Sic Surgeons under 35yrs old, who are expected to play a major role in following the editing steps. The session will be chaired together by senior and junior surgeons selected by the junior committee and the scientific board of the congress.
For editorial reasons linked to the review process and editing, the dead line for all abstracts will be June 30th, 2022 in order to respect the following timetable.
The ”proposal for papers” are formally restricted to the two dedicated sessions and will not be transferred to the regular sessions for abstracts during the Congress.
2022 June 30th is the deadline for abstracts that should be sent to SIC (firstname.lastname@example.org). A maximum of 250 words is allowed.
