Bloomin' 4 Good is BACK for May!
We are so excited to share that Rise has once again been selected to benefit from Stop & Shop’s Bloomin’ 4 Good Program, created to fight hunger across the communities they serve. For the month of May, a $10.99 bouquet in the sleeve marked “Bloomin’ 4 Good” from the Stop & Shop at 1600 Perrineville Road in Monroe Township will brighten a home or make someone’s day while also directing a $1 donation to the Rise Pantry. This is a great way to broaden awareness in the local community and raise donations for our organization to help fight hunger. A bouquet of flowers can also make a great gift for Mom this Mother's Day, or any other special person on your list! Let’s get started! Share the news with friends and family. Call, send emails and post on social media! The more bouquets sold, the more we can raise!

Help the Rise Youth Council Plant a Rain Garden at Rise!
Our Rise Youth Council has been working alongside The Watershed Institute to plan and build a "rain garden" outside our Rise Home Office that will collect and treat hundreds of gallons of rainwater runoff every year! Help them prepare the garden area by excavating the plant beds and then setting dozens of native plants in the soil according to their design plan! The rain garden will include signage to help educate the public about the dangers of rainwater runoff polluting our local watersheds, and steps that can be taken to reduce the impact. April Community Impact by the Numbers
Every day, our mission is to help our neighbors in whatever way we can. In April, we had 1,877 visits to the food pantry by 519 local families. We distributed 20,598 bags of food and handed out 131 bags of pet food. 296 bags of personal care supplies were given to those in need, as well as 681 bags of baby supplies to new parents in low-income families. 294 of our Rise volunteers donated 2,442 hours of their time. Our efforts are made possible by donations that we receive and by our amazing volunteers. We want you to know that you are making a massive difference in the lives of people around you who may be struggling and lifting your entire community. If you want to help us make these numbers grow, you can donate to Rise at https://njrise.org/donate. Want to make even more of an impact? Become a Rise Good Neighbor and pledge to make a recurring monthly contribution that helps us better manage our budget and know that we are ready to take action when needs arise outside our regular fundraising schedule, which has become our reality in recent years.
