Good morning

I would like to welcome Dr Steven Kennedy PSM, Secretary of the Treasury, as the new IPAA ACT President. Steven and the incoming IPAA Council were appointed at our Annual General Meeting on 4 September and will serve for the term 2019 through 2021. More information on the new appointments is provided below.

I would also like to give my thanks to former president Frances Adamson, and outgoing Council members, who made a significant contribution to IPAA and public administration more broadly.

August was one for the record books with several high profile and memorable events. We were pleased to welcome the Prime Minister of Australia for an Address to the Australian Public Service on Monday 19 August. We also hosted a Valedictory Address by Dr Martin Parkinson AC PSM and a Secretary Series address by Frances Adamson, both of whom delivered great sessions to capacity audiences. More information on these events is available below.

Looking ahead towards the end of the year we have a full calendar, keep an eye on our events page here for more information.
