Dear Friends of Millican Reserve,

After much thoughtful consideration, Millican Reserve has decided it is time to re-open our trails!  We are undertaking this effort on a limited trial basis because of how much we miss being outside in the most beautiful setting in the Brazos Valley, and we believe we can do it safely and
stop the spread with your help.

Nature never closes, but in order to keep our trails open we all need to use common sense and follow the guidelines established by our health authorities.  Get your daily dose of Vitamin D and observe the following rules:

•    Millican Reserve is private property.  You must be a
member to use the trails.  (Not a member?  Keep scrolling or click here.)
•    If you choose to visit the Millican Reserve trails, we ask that you come for passive, solitary recreation such as walking, running, or biking and with a minimum of 6 feet distance between you and others.
•    Please wear a mask whenever feasible as part of your recreational activities.
•    Restroom facilities are closed.  Make arrangements to use other restrooms before using the trails, and bring your own hand sanitizer.
•    Do not gather in groups, and avoid areas where groups may form (including the car parking area).
•    Do not enter Millican Reserve if you are exhibiting any symptoms or feeling ill.

COVID-19 is a serious disease and we want to do everything we can to stop the spread of this virus while making the health-giving benefits of outdoor recreation available to our community.  (See the FREE TrailPass Memberships available below!)  Our trails provide a connection to the outdoors and opportunities for physical activity, reduced stress, and improved mental health.  Thank you for playing an important role in ensuring our community’s continued safety by observing the rules above.

We look forward to the end of this trial period and re-starting our regular activities at Millican Reserve.  In the meantime, we wish you health in the days ahead and we hope to see you on the trails! Please be sure to consult
coronavirus.gov for the latest public health guidance.

We will provide further updates from time-to-time via email and Facebook.

Conservancy Membership

Millican Reserve is a nearly 3,000-acre private conservation community in Brazos County.  The vision behind Millican Reserve starts and ends with the Texas landscape.

Nature and Community.  Committed to lightly treading on the land, Millican Reserve offers hundreds of acres of pristine Brazos countryside, and is home to trails, lakes, ponds, and rich and diverse wildlife.  Those who choose to make their homes at Millican Reserve live and play in this natural setting every day: our homeowners find innovative ways to respect and incorporate the native landscape into their everyday lives.

The Conservancy at Millican Reserve has been established as one of the stewards of the natural resources that make up our giant outdoor classroom. By inviting members to engage in nature education and outdoor recreation at Millican Reserve, the Conservancy is helping to realize a vision of an authentic and healthy place.

Membership. We are making it easy to stay healthy outside during this time of coronavirus.  Why?  Because outdoor activities can reduce stress and improve our community's physical and mental health. The Conservancy is making TrailPass Memberships available at no cost through August 31, 2020.  A TrailPass Membership allows members to have limited access to the private Millican Reserve trail system for hiking, jogging, biking, or equestrian trail riding.

Our farm and CSA program remain safe and operational.  Farmer Kenny and Farmer Logan are working hard to bring our delicious spring harvest to our CSA members every week.  If you are interested in a weekly helping of healthy, locally sourced, and chemical-free produce, please email farm@millicanreserve.com or check this site for more information.  This is a great way to support our farmers and to incorporate more fresh, healthy produce into your family’s diet during these challenging days and weeks.
