As we enter spring and the magnolia blooms outside the boarding houses we are hoping to see many of you at our upcoming summer events: 
  • Our London pub social will be on 7th June at the Cittie of Yorke High Holborn
  • Booking is now open for the Wellensian Reunion Weekend on 22nd - 23rd June. This includes the reunion dinner, the Wellensian Association AGM, tours of the school, Wells and the Cathedral and the annual OW cricket match all finishing with the Jazz Picnic in the marquee. See below for more details.

Do join us for the must-do event of the weekend, our Summer Dinner in the Dining Hall on Saturday evening. We especially look forward to welcoming the 1979, 1989, 1999 and 2009 yeargroups for their big anniversaries. A wonderful opportunity to see old friends and celebrate your memories of Wells.

The evening will begin with a glass of fizz, courtesy of the Wells Cathedral School Foundation before dinner at 8pm.

Hot Fuzz Tour

In the summer of 2006 a star-studded cast descended on Wells. You too can tread the same cobbles as London cop Nicholas Angel as he explored the sinister goings on in the apparently idyllic village of Sandford.

Parents' Association Jazz Picnic
Sunday 23rd June, 12:00 - 15:00

Annual bonanza of alfresco entertainment with the School’s Jazz Ensemble and Jazz Orchestra. Bring a picnic and sit at a table in the marquee or enjoy the sunshine on Cedars Lawn. Cash bar, hot drinks and ice cream available.
Tickets: £10 (under 18s free)

Wells Cathedral High Parts Tour

Climb the spiral staircase and walk in the footsteps of the cathedral masons, discover the hidden spaces and see the medieval tracing room where they drew their templates.
Amazing perspectives guaranteed.

Tours run by cathedral staff will begin at the Information Desk. Tickets £15. PLACES LIMITED, NO CHILDREN UNDER 10. Please email to book.
Wells Cathedral School Piano Gala
Sunday 23rd June 15:00 - 16:30

Wells Cathedral School’s young pianists have been frequent 
prize winners in national and international competitions. Tonight their top pianists take advantage of Cedars Hall’s magnificent Steinway piano to showcase a mixture of virtuoso and lyrical classics.

This year's Royal Bath and West Show will take place from Wednesday 29th May until Saturday 1st June. We have been given a unique opportunity to raise money for the Year 9 hockey Tour to the Netherlands in April 2020 by using our own unique link to purchase tickets. 
Tickets are currently available at the Super Saver rate of £20 per adult with children 15 years and under attending the show for free. All tickets purchased using the school's link will earn 10% commission to be put towards the tour.

Enrichment Speakers Needed
The Sixth Form have a programme of enrichment speakers on a Friday during term which includes the Horizon Lecture sponsored by the Wellensian Association. Sally Rowley - Head of Sixth Form is always on the look out for more speakers and is keen to include as many OWs as possible in the programme.
