This summer, the Ted Rogers Centre proudly awarded Innovation Fund seed grants to novel ideas focused on infants who need a heart transplant, stiffened hearts in people with type 2 diabetes, and 3D models of heart failure.

Dr. Mansoor Husain, our executive director, led a major new study that proved the world's first GLP-1 receptor agonist drug for diabetes is safe for the heart. Not only that: it was linked to a reduced number of cardiovascular deaths and all-cause mortality in patients.
