ISO: research posters for special showcase


To exhibit promising new ideas from any researchers attending Heart Failure Update 2018 this May, the Ted Rogers Centre is holding its first-ever poster showcase. A reception will follow, and the chance to present in front of the full plenary audience. Follow link below for details on applications.

Please note that members of our partner institutions – SickKids, University Health Network and University of Toronto – can register for Heart Failure Update at no cost. But you must use the registration page for which a password is first required. That is the word promise. All registrations will be verified.

To bring together our diverse array of clinicians and researchers from many institutions in a relaxed setting, we thought a regular social night was in order. If you're in the neighborhood, join us the first Thursday of each month at Duke's Refresher on Gerrard, 4-7 p.m. We kick it off in three weeks.

Immune cells in heart protect against HF  


There are no approved treatments for viral myocarditis, nor effective ways to diagnose it. In heart failure patients, it’s hard to know if an earlier infection contributed to the disease. Meanwhile, other individuals walk around with viruses in their hearts but don’t develop heart failure. Why?
